Container Home Plans, Designs, and Drawings…

What Is Included When You Buy Container Home Plans

This section will discuss, what should be included when you buy House Plans, and also what type plans to request. The first step is to choose a credible source for your DIY or Professional Container House Plans. The biggest complaint from people buying House Plans is that they don't have what they need for their local government approval or something is mission for proper construction. Additionally, a House Plan for Container Homes obviously uses the ISBU modules as the principle framework for the home, office, or cabin. The details for this ISBU framework are essential for proper connections and construction. Are you always getting what you expected? …Are you getting what you need?

Container Home Plan Check List:

1) Are the plans specifically designed as a Container Home using ISBU modules? 2)  Do the plans contain detailed ISBU connection information? 3) Are the plans compliant to meet local Codes and Standards required by your country, province,     state, or city? 4) Do the house plans need to be certified by a local Architect or Engineer? Many governments      require this. 5) Are the house plan exactly what you want, or do you have the ability and permission to modify      them? 6)  Do the house plans contain the actual blueprints or PDF necessary for construction? Are the House Plans localized, and do they contain these features:  Exterior Elevations- including the front, rear and sides of the house, including exterior materials,    insulations, cladding, details and measurements. • Interior Elevations- showing the details of cabinets (kitchen, bathroom and utility room),   fireplaces, built-in units and any special interior features.  Floor Plan Details- show the placement of interior walls, ISBU connections, and the dimensions   for rooms, doors, windows, stairways, etc. for each level of the house.  Cross Sections- details of the house showing slices from the roof to the foundation. The cross    sections detail the construction of the home, the insulation, flooring and roofing.    Foundation Plans- drawings showing footings or slab for a full, partial or basement.    Roof Plans- details of the layout of rafters, dormers, gables and other elements including all   windows and skylights, and Green Roof if applicable.  Schematic Plumbing Layouts- to show the suggested locations for pipes, vents, drains, and/or   gray water system.   • Schematic Electrical Layouts- to show the suggested locations for switches, fixtures, outlets, solar,   energy, storage batteries, and electrical modules, etc.  Heating and Cooling- Recommendations regarding HVAC, geo-air, geothermal, solar, bio-fuel, and   other energy options you have chosen for your home.    Optional Specifications- provide instructions and information of structural specifications,   excavating and grading, masonry and concrete work, carpentry and welding/cutting specifications,   eco-green thermal and moisture protection including specifications for drywalls, flooring, tile,   glazing, sealants, and caulking.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        [Graphics: GreenCube Research]                                                                DIY House Plans 'vs Professional House Plans

Choosing DYI or Professional House Plans

Over the 10 years our Organization has had more than a 100,000 inquiries regarding Container Home Plans. In the first two years most inquiries were for simple DIY (Do It Yourself) construction plans and drawing, However as the trend of Container Homes spread there became a growing interest in fully drawn, ready-to-use professional Architectural home plans using ISBU Modules as the base structure. By 2012 and in the years since then we see some very consistent patterns of that interest year after year.                                                                                                                                                                                             [Graphic: GreenCube Research] Firstly, we must recognize that ISBU Modules are now being used in a vast range of applications, ...shelters, cabins, sheds, storage units, commercial office structures, mobile housing, expo booths, dormitories, hotels, houses and homes, greenhouses, and more too numerous to mention. Secondly, the Container Technology trends and use of ISBU Modules is very global and includes virtually every country in the World, thus, some of the construction projects require certifications and local government approvals, and some of the are completely exempt. We find the same pattern even in the US, Canada, Australia, and much of Europe. There approval requirements are not necessarily consistent. Due to these trends, patterns, and varied regulations we continue to see a vast demand for DIY House Plans and simple 2D and 3D drawing software programs to experiment with and create some basic designs and plans. Depending on the actual projects, not all housing and construction require government approvals, and thus, don't require the full and complete Architectural sets and drawings. In these situations the simple DIY House Plan Design software applications are quicker and very sufficient for smaller construction projects. It must be stated again, the free home design software is generally the best for DIY projects. However, when a project is larger, and in more restrictive locations of the world, the DIY software is first used to experiment with, then the basic results are given to experienced Architects, Designers, and Engineers to modify the DIY floor plans into usable professional CAD and blueprints for the ultimate construction.
